Last tribute was paid to Johnson W. Futischa on Tuesday afternoon at High Hill Baptist church near Stonewall with the Rev. Howard Baker conducting.
Futischa died Saturday at the age of 76 in an area hospital. He was born in Coal county on August 30, 1908, and had been a resident of the Tupelo and Stonewall area most of his life. His parents were John and Wincy Edwards Futischa.
He and Ella Doneghey were married on July 24, 1931.
Before retirement, he had been self employed as a painting contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Ella, of the home, Stonewall; a daughter, Ethel Bedell, Okla. City; a son, Kenneth Futischa, Okla. City; a sister, Nancy King, Stonewall; a brother, John Futischa, Ada, and three grandchildren.
