James C., son of John and Marinda McClintock Hilliard, was born in Berry township Oct. 16, 1890. He was married to Eva Boswell in 1914.
Mr. Hilliard was baptized into the Methodist church at Geff.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Glen and Lewis; a brother, John; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A nephew, Maurice Long, reared in his home, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the Nales Funeral Home with interment in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City.
