Janice Huckabee
Born Beverly Janice Steck in Dallas, on May 22, 1938.
She was married to George Leslie Huckabee for 27 years, until his death in April of 1996.
Together they were world travelers.
Janice passed away April 4, 2009.
She was an accomplished musician, serving as soloist and as accompanist for church, school, and community choirs, on both piano and organ, for many years.
She loved to read and study, and research family history and genealogy.
She loved her church, serving God in many ways.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting, making things for her family.
Most of all, she loved her family and adored her beautiful granddaughters.
Janice is survived by four beautiful daughters, Leslie Adair and husband Lyle, Melissa Meredith, Amy Huckabee, and Carol Wolfe and husband Marcus; three adorable granddaughters, Emily and Autumn Adair, and Rebecca Meredith; sister, Gretchen Steck; sister-in-law, Shirley Kirk and husband James; and many family members and friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Good Shepherd Anglican Church, 915 Straus Road, Cedar Hill, Texas.
Burial will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation with the family is 6-8 pm, Tuesday, at Jaynes Funeral Chapel, 811 So. Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville, Texas.
