Charlie Parker was the son of Robert Alexander Parker and Lamira A. Minter. He is said to have snuck food through the Union lines during the Civil War, presumably during the Union occupation of Memphis. He married Edmonia Berry of Livingston Co., KY, in 1880. They had four children, three of whom survived infancy. Their daughter Lamira married John Charles Henley of Birmingham, AL, and their daughter Julia married Carl Ferdinand Wittichen of Birmingham, AL. Charlie died on about Sep. 7, 1918.
