Cecil Coffey, 89, of 111 Redbud Drive, Winfield, died May 2, 2000, at William Newton Memorial Hospital.

Winfield Daily Courier, Monday, May 8, 2000 - Cecil Coffey
Services for Cecil R. Coffey were held at 11 a.m. May 6, 2000, at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Shawn Sturm officiated. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Winfield American Legion Post 10 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3544 performed military graveside honors.
Martha Brandenburg was the organist, and Arlan and Wilma Anglemyer were vocalists. Music included "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
Honorary casket bearers were former members of "F" Battery, Second Battalion, 161st Field Artillery: Jack Embrey, Henry Kampschroeder, Donald Fowler, Joseph Whitehead, Wayne Birdsong and Clay Lemert.
Casket bearers were Bruce, John and Roger Coffey, Rick White, Scott Sturm and T.J. Gott.
Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church and the Brain Injury Association of Kansas.
Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
