"The Bushnell (IL) Record" April 23, 1926: Mrs. Mary Kreider, an aged and highly respected citizen of Prairie City, died at the home of Mrs. George LOCKWOOD near Avon Saturday, April 17, and had she lived until May 5, she would have been 84 years old. She had spent her life in Fulton and McDonough counties. She was born near Canton, May 5, 1843. She is survived by six children: C.H. KREIDER [Charles Howard Kreider]and S.J. [Samuel John] KREIDER of Prairie City; Mrs. John Kreps of Bushnell; Mrs. George LOCKWOOD and R.C. KREIDER of Avon; and H.L. Kreider of near Walnut Grove. The funeral services were held in the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Virgil cemetery.
