J. Horace "Jake" Eaton, Jr. died at Zurbrugg Mem. Hospital in Riverside. He was born in Bordentown and resided in Florence for 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having served in North Africa, Italy and France.
He was a member of the Florence United Methodist Church and its Methodist Men's Club; Past Commander of Florence American Legion Post 194; member and Past Master of Burlington Lodge 32 F.&A.M; member of Roebling Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8838, Scottish Rite Consistory in Collingswood and High Twelve Masonic Home Chapter.
He was instrumental in forming Florence Township Midget Football and served as a coach for a number of years.
