Mrs. Maranda Harrison, wife of Benjamin Harrison died at her residence near Huntingtown on the 18th inst. after a short illness aged about 70 years. The 27 Jan 1877 issue of the Calvert Journal.

About seven years after she passed, the former church by this cemetery was renamed: "Around 1870, the southern Methodists left Manor Woods to meet in a blacksmith shop and in member's homes. In 1873 this congregation erected a building called Calvary on Hunting Creek Road, at the site of our present church. In 1884, the Manor Woods Church was renamed MIRANDA MEMORIAL, in honor of MIRANDA HARRISON, whose son gave a large memorial window to the church... The Miranda building was dismantled and donated to another congregation" in Pennsylvania. Per Huntingtown United Methodist Church (.com) and the History of Huntingtown United Methodist Church.

The hard to read last line on her grave marker may be from Shakespeare's Macbeth, Act 3, scene 2, lines 19–23, "After life's fitful fever he sleeps well."

C kindly shared: "According to my records Marinda Wilhelmina (Leitch) Harrison was the second child of Benjamin A. Leitch (1780-1815) and Mary (Mitchell) Leitch (1782-1836). Marinda's younger brother Edward George Leitch (1812-1868)." Seeking documentation.
