"The LaFayette Sun" - November 22, 1923:

Death of Miss Ada Collier at Stroud.

Miss Ada Collier died at her home at Stroud, Ala., on November 15. Miss Collier was one of Chambers County's pioneer citizens. If she had lived until next May she would have been 80 years old. She had been a faithful member of the Baptist Church for 55 years. She was born and reared in Chambers County and her long and useful life was spent in the county. She will be missed by all who knew her and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. Truly, a good woman, a faithful church member and a friend to all is gone, but she will not be forgotten and her memory will be cherished. She is survived by one brother - P. C. Collier. Funeral services were held at Bethel Church and interment was made in the cemetery at Bethel. The Sun joins in with a host of friends in sympathizing with the bereaved family.
