OCEANSIDE - Emmett P. Glynn, 89, died Thursday, August 1, 2002, at Carlsbad by the Sea Care Center. Born March 8, 1913, in Moline, Ill., he retired from Houston Gas in 1980. He was a parishioner of Mission San Luis Rey for 17 years, founding member of Small Faith Communities at Mission San Luis Rey, built his own home in Lemonth, Ill., and was the co-inventor of Dial Soap. Mr. Glynn is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Glynn of Oceanside; son Christopher Glynn of Morton, Ill.; and daughters Ann Harsy of Oak Forest, Ill., and Deborah Loftus of Vista. A mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, at Mission San Luis Rey. Inurnment will be in Mission San Luis Rey Cemetery. Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
