Services for Bennie Jo Quinn McGuffie of Madison are 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. McGuffie, 68, died March 26, 2002, of heart failure at her residence. She was a native of Brookhaven and had lived in the Jackson area for 50 years.

She was a homemaker. She and her husband established McGuffie Painting and Sandblasting Co., Inc., Asbestos Removal Services, Inc., and M&M Services, Inc. They operated McGuffie Farms in Brookhaven, where they raised Simmental and Simbrah cattle for 20 years. She loved attending cattle sales and cooking for roundups at the farm, and weekend visits with her grandchildren spent fishing and four-wheeling. She was an avid gardener, growing flowers and working in the vegetable garden with her brother and sisters.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Jackson and in recent years attended First Presbyterian Church in Madison.

Preceding her in death were her parents; James Luther Quinn and Alberta Mason Quinn; her husband of 43 years, Roy E. McGuffie; and her sisters, Lanell Krogstad and Margie Griffith.

Survivors are her children, Debbie Jo, Dale and Dennis McGuffie, all of Madison; her grandchildren, Erin Gall and her husband Tim, Brynn McGuffie, Megan Terrell and Lauren, Blair and Daniel McGuffie; and her great-granddaughters, Marley Kate Johnston and Maddie and Haley Gall; her brother, Jim Quinn, and sisters, Bernice Wilson and Ruth Bessonette of Brookhaven.

Memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church in Jackson; First Presbyterian Church in Madison; or Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Monticello.
