Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Buxton Willis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 in Rush Chapel - North location, Oakdale with Reverend Troy Doyle officiating. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery Mausoleum under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Willis, 79, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 in Rapides Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Willis; three brothers, Lester Buxton, Wallace Buxton and Alex Doyle; one sister, Edna Boudreaux and one grandchild, Hope Brandenburg.
She is survived by one son, Dale Brandenburg of Oakdale; three daughters, Marie Mason of Oakdale, Lucretia Golemon of Pitkin, and Aline Rider of Oberlin; three brothers, Gerald Buxton and Travis Buxton, both of Elizabeth and Jack Doyle of Oakdale; one sister, Shirley Scott of Dickens, Texas; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
