Abernathy — On Saturday Oct. 19, 1963, at 9:28 o'clock a.m., Joseph Edward Abernathy, husband of Jessie Dees, father of Edward Russell and Joseph Perry Abernathy, brother of Sam, Lee, Ira, Alvin Breaux, and Johnny Abernathy, Mrs. John Lohmann Sr., Mrs. F.E. St. Pe, Mrs. Myrtle Robinson, Mrs. Etta Jones, Mrs. Josie Ringgold, and the late Fred and Nettie Abernathy: also survived by three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family, also officers and members of the Painters Local Union No. 1244 AFL-CIO are invited to attend the funeral services from the home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Inc., 4127 South Claiborne Ave. (parking entrance adjoining) on Monday morning October 21, 1963 at 11:30 o'clock.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
