The funeral was held Monday September 12 at 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tolley, for Mrs. Clement (Lena) Resch, age 84, who died on September 8th in a Minot hospital.

Father Eugene Wehner officiated at the services. Mrs. Maureen Munch was organist and casketbearers were Martin Irgens, John Resch, Ed Ethen, Delbert Zeltinger, Frank Zeltinger Jr., and Jerome Zeltinger. Interment was in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Tolley, with Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lena Zeltinger was born January 23, 1899, at Spring Hill, Minnesota, a daughter of Ignatius and Katie Zeltinger. The family moved to Tolley in 1900 to homestead. She attended schools at Tolley and Kenmare and earned a teacher’s certificate at Dakota Northwestern University, Minot. For 18 years she taught in the rural Tolley, Greene and Kenmare areas and for a time in a parochial school at Strasburg. She married Clement C. Resch June 6, 1935, at Kenmare. They farmed south of Tolley.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and was organist there for many years, St. Mary’s Altar Society, and was clerk of the Roosevelt Township, Renville County School Board for many years.

Survivors are her husband; daughter, Rita Resch, Warrensburg, Mo.; brother, Frank Zeltinger, Kenmare; sisters, Louise Zeltinger and Anne Rowe, both Phoenix, Arizona, Clara Ahmann, Helena, Montana, Marie Rabuse, Paola, Kansas, Loretta Shores, Veronia, Oregon.
