The people of Moody and vicinity were pained to learn of the death of Mrs. C.D. Wright (nee Day) at the family residence in South Moody last Sunday morning at 9:05 o'clock, following a brief and very unexpected illness. During the early morning hours Sunday it was thought she was improving, and that something might be done to restore her health, but medical skill failed.

Mrs. Virginia Day Wright was born near Moody February 27, 1883 and died in Moody August 4, 1918, being 35 years, 5 months, and 7 days old.

On September 29, 1901, she was married to Chas. D. Wright of near Moody and they made their home continuously in this city and near here. To their union three children, two boys and a girl were born, the children being: John D., aged 13, Mary, aged 9, and Chas D. aged 6 years. Besides her husband and children Mrs. Wright is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Day, near Moody, and two brothers, Ernest of Waco, and Charles of Galveston and one uncle, J.M. Day.

Mrs. Wright was converted at the age of 12 years, and united with the Eagle Springs Baptist Church of which she was still a member. Her life as a Christian was always bright and happy, she constantly endeavoring to live up to her duty as a church member.

Funeral services were conducted at the family home at 4:00 o'clock Monday afternoon,Rev. P.P. Lewis of Waco conducting the services, assissted by Rev.
