Zella R. Timberman, age 92 of Connersville, passed away at Major Hospital in Shelbyville on May 19, 2006. She had been in failing health for the past 5 months.

She was born in Rush County, Indiana on March 10, 1914, the daughter of Ora and Ruby Scott Wall. She was married to Leonard B. Timberman on May 28, 1932 at the East Side United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Park Place Church of God for many years where she had taught Sunday school several years ago.

She retired from the housekeeping department of the Fayette Memorial Hospital in 1979 after 15 years of service. She was very active at the Connersville Senior Citizens Center where she was once crowned Senior Queen of Area 9. For many years she and her husband played music and entertained in area nursing homes, Connersville and Rushville Hospitals as well as the Richmond State Hospital. She was active in Republican Politics and had served for several years as the Precinct Committee Person and she enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Phyllis & Donald Green of Lillian, Alabama; a son and daughter in law, L. Joseph & Diann Timberman of Liberty; four grandchildren, Joan McCreary and Lisa Terrell both of Indianapolis, and Scott Timberman and Sara Thurman of Shelbyville; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Emily, and April Terrell, and Morgan and Caitlin McCreary; and a sister in law, Dorothy Biggs of Connersville. She is also survived by two half sisters, Betty Bender, Cincinnati; Emma Hainey, Ft. Collins, CO; one half brother, Martin Wall, Tennessee;

Besides her parents she is preceded by her husband, who passed on August 24, 1993; six brothers, Willard, Francis, Donald, Wallace and Allen and Harold Wall; a sister Ruby Meyer; and a grandson, Michael Timberman; two half brothers, Bill & Bob Wall.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday May 22, 2006 at 10 AM at the Park Place Church of God with Rev. Dan Masters of the church officiating.

Burial will follow at West Point Cemetery in Liberty, IN. Friends and family may call on Sunday evening from 4-8 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home. Memorial contribution may be made to Fayette County Senior Citizens or to the Park Place Church of God.
