U.S. Congressman 1847 to 1848. Born in Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Milwaukee, and was one of the fifty-five original purchaser's of land, which enabled the Vestry to purchase the land from the estate of the Rev. Hull for use as a cemetery. His son and family are interred at Forest Home in Milwaukee, WI.
