ST. JOSEPH (Special) — Funeral services for Garland Tommy Comer, 37, of St. Joseph, who was fatally injured in a car accident of [sic on] the Natchez-Vidalia bridge early yesterday, were held today.

Last rites were said at 2 p.m. in the Church of Christ at St. Joseph. The Rev. Roy Stegall of Ferriday officiated. Burial followed in the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah.

A resident of St. Joseph for 15 years, Mr. Comer was in show business. He was a native of West Virginia.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Orville Lee Comer, St. Joseph; three daughters, Jeri Comer, Cheryl Comer and Tomalea Comer, all of St. Joseph; his mother, Mrs. W. A. Comer, Beardsfork, W. Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Vergie Haskett, Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Elsie Moore, Beardsfork, and two brothers, Frank Comer, Beardsfork and Lloyd Comer, Baltimore.

Pallbearers were Gasper Bruno, Nick Bruno Jr., S. G. Manning, Edgar Lofton, Prent Castle and Vincent Lowery.
