Chico Record, Saturday Morning, March 27, 1909, pg 1 col 5: M'Donald Funeral Today. Oroville, March 26. – The remains of Sherman A. McDonald, who died in Oroville recently, will be shipped to Chico on the 12:20 Northern Electric car Saturday, after the services under the direction of the Modern Woodmen of America are held in this city. The interment will be made in the Chico cemetery.

Sherman is buried by father without a headstone.
