Edgar Milton Smith

Edgar Milton Smith, 90, of Greenville passed away March 13, 2001 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Born June 5, 1920 in Abilene, Edgar was the son of John Edgar and Nellie Taylor Smith.
On November 1, 1941, he married Rachel Schmidt in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII.
He was a retired civil service property administrator. He was a member of First Assembly of God.

Survivors include sons Richard Smith of Frisco, Rev. Kenneth Smith of Queretaro, Mexico, Stanley Smith of Santa Monica, California, Brentson Smith of Greenville, and Robert Smith of Greenville; brothers Harold Smith of Scottsville, Kentucky and Kenneth Neil Smith of Granbury; sister Mary Francis Addison of Mountainair, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife, and brother Wayne Smith.
