Dorothy Eugena Dean McLendon, 81, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Chautaqua Rehab and Nursing Center in DeFuniak Springs.

Mrs. McLendon was born in Early County Nov. 15, 1926, to the late Means Weaver White and Oma Belle Horne White. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and was a grocery store clerk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett L. McLendon.

Survivors include one son, Johnny David Antley Jr. and wife Edna of Albany; one sister,Wilma Hughes of Donalsonville; three grandchildren, Lynn Schaffer and husband Butch of Freeport, Fla., Paul Antley and wife Cheryl of Dacula, Ga., and Todd Antley and wife Candace of Gainesville, Ga.; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Manry- Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Burgess officiating. Interment followed at Blakely Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Cherry, Odell Enfinger, Leamon White, Herbert White, Barney Brownlee and Vance Turner.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
