Hiram K. Bennett died Sunday morning at 4 o’clock at the family home, 215 West 18th street, Elmira Heights, aged ninety-one years. Mr. Bennett had been a live long resident of the town of Erin and was highly respected. He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ward Jaynes of Elmira Heights; two granddaughters of Elmira Heights; four brothers, George Bennett of Elmira; Merritt Bennett and Charles Bennett, both of Horseheads, and John of the town of Horseheads; a sister, Jane Blauvelt of Springfield, Ill. The funeral will be held at the family home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. The Rev. C. D. Smith of Elmira Height is to officiate. Burial in the Scotchtown cemetery, Erin.
