In 1915, at the age of 64, John married second, Emma Milford in Los Angeles, L.A. Co., California.
In the 1920 U.S. census, 63 yr. old John was living in a rented home at 936 Aliso St. in the city of Los Angeles, L.A Co., Ca. with 31 yr. old wife, Emma and son, John 'W.' Shaw, age 3 8/12. Emma was b. in England and immigrated to the U.S. in 1907. Both of her parents were English. Both of John's parents were b. in Indiana. John was working for a trucking company as a __(?)
