In 1931, she became the first town accountant for West Brookfield, and in 1943 she was appointed director of the Welfare District. She retired in 1966.
She was also a clerk to the Board of Selectman and the Board of Public Welfare for West Brookfield and New Braintree for several years.
She was born in West Brookfield.
She leaves two nieces, June M. Lorden of Shrewsbury and Doris R. Aldrich of Chicopee, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
The memorial service will be conducted Jan. 20 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Brookfield Rescue Squad, Central Street, West Brookfield.
