Charles "Charlie" Hazelgrove, 87, of Lafayette, died at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at St. Anthony Health Care.
He was born Aug. 30, 1923 in White County to the late Samuel and Elda Wagoner Hazelgrove. He was also preceded in death by a son, Ron Hazelgrove.
He married Camilla Hamming on June 7, 1967 in Lafayette. She survives. Also survivingare two sons, Roger Hazelgrove (wife: Cheryl) of Lafayette and Greg Hazelgrove (wife: Elizabeth) of Columbus; two daughters, Linda Gritten (husband: Paul) of Lafayette and Cindy McLemore (husband: Dewey) of Fulshear, Texas; two sisters, Betty Jacobs and Wilma Knowles, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Thomas Hazelgrove (wife: Jewell) of Lafayette; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
