Mary Ruth Chafin Lassiter was the daughter of Robert Mark Chafin Sr. and Alma Long Chafin and the wife of Bryan Belcher Lassiter Sr.
BUTLER. ALA. .-- Ruth Chafin Lassiter, a resident~ Cullomburg, Ala., died Friday in Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi.
Lassiter, who was 51, is survived by her husband, Belcher Lassiter of Cullomburg two sans. Bobby Lassiter and Buddy Lassiter, both of Silas, Ala.; two daughters, Elaine Pitts of Richton. Miss., and Crickett Dabbs of Marietta, Ga.; her father, Mark Chafin of Millry, Alabama; three sisters, Faye Lassiter, Judy Dyess. and Quida Moss of Millry; three brothers, Arnold Chafin of Concord N.C. Robert Chafin of Millry, and Thomas Chafin of Bay Minette, Ala.; and eight grand children.
Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Cullomburg Baptist Church, with interment in the Cullomburg Cemetery.
