Bob married Anna Belle Parris and they are the parents of Dora, Floyd, Claude and Woodrow Wilson Buchanan.

Other children are sons: Robert Jr. and William Glen both deceased and both born in North Carolina.

Two daughters remain: Grace Sizemore in Canton, North Carolina and Betty Woodard in Mineral Bluff, Georgia.

Also many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
