William R Brooks, 69, of Vernon Michigan passed away at home on 12 April, 1914 after a long illness. He married Julia E Curtis in 1873. They had 6 children together. Mr. Brooks was a farmer.

William's parents were John Brooks & Ann Croft. They were both born in England and arrived in New York, NY on 23 June 1832 aboard The Emerald.

William R Brooks was a Corporal in the Michigan Infantry during the Civil War.
