Ann Rumple, 77, 604 West Lynn Street,, Union City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born December 8, 1932 to the late Don and Reba Sites Bousman. She graduated from Jackson Indiana High School in 1950. She attended Ball State University for 3 years and was a substitute teacher in the Randolph Eastern school system and taught in the title 1 program at North Side Elementary School. Ann was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. She volunteered at the Union City Community Help Center for many years and served on the Board of Directors.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah MacDougall McManus (Gary) of Daleville; a son, William "Rob" MacDougall (Donna) of Manhattan, Kansas; two step-daughters, Rita Rumple Weybright (Jack) of Lafayette, Teresa Rumple Turner of San Diego, California; four grandsons, Rob MacDougall, Wes Fenton, Thomas McManus, and Jack Weybright III; seven granddaughters, Katie MacDougall, Sarah Buckner, Melissa McManus, Catherine Good, Allison Turner, Lizz McManus and Amanda Turner Shoaf; two great granddaughters, Elizabeth Buckner and Lillian MacDougall; one great grandson, Nathan Shoaf; two sisters, Betty Jean Grimes (John) of Union City, Ohio, Genevieve Marie Kearns (Arvis) of Russell Springs, Kentucky; and one brother, Richard Ronald Bousman of Auburndale, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wiiliam Ray MacDougall in 1980; her second husband William Orrin Rumple in 2009; and two sisters, Alberta Bousman in 1927 and Berdena Bousman Oswalt in 1986.
Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday st Reichard Funeral Home, Union City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com.
Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Union City, with the Reverend Don Brenneman officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery, Union City.
