Edna May Barry Koons, 95, of Summerville, S.C. and formerly of Columbus and Sidney, Oh., died Friday, November 14, 1997 in S.C. Born September 13, 1902 in Mallory, Oswego County, N.Y. to the late A. Floyd and Jennie Hoyt Barry. Preceded in death by husband L. Ray Koons and son Edward Ray Koons. Survived by children, Donald Barry Koons, Columbus and Edna May Boroski, Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren, Ronald Koons, Westerville, Judy Koons Hammond, Gahanna, Natalie Boroski Hilton and Sonya Boroski Mazur, Summerville, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Steven Ulry, Ridgeland, S.C., Brett Ulry, Japan, Brandon Koons and Jessica Koons, Westerville, Elena Rae Boroski, Stephanie, Sloan Edward and Suzannah Hilton, Summerville, S.C.; several nieces, nephews and friends. Member of Indianola Church of Christ in Columbus and Old Fort Baptist Church in Summerville, S.C. A homemaker and Republican she worked for many years as Presiding Judge at the Polls in her local precinct in Columbus.
