Wewoka - Services for George C. Harrington, 84, were held at 10 a.m. today in Stout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. The retired oil field worker died Tuesday at Shawnee Medical Center.
He was born August 24, 1891, in Pittsburg County, and had been a Seminole county resident for the past 50 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Viola E. Climer, Cora Bell Blackwood, both of Wewoka; Jessie May DeLeon, Shawnee; Irene E. Maxwell, Odessa, TX.; two sons, G.C. Harrington, Harrah; Jack W. Campbell, Odessa, TX.; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Bearers were Frank Campbell Jr., Kenneth Smith, Kenny Harrington, Bernie Freeman, Frank Guffey and Fred Wright.
Honorary bearers were Chat Burton, A.G. Black, O.T. Burns, Bill Sneed, J.C. Sneed and Don Sneed."
