Douglas E. Breeds, 33, died Friday morning at Cortland Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He had resided near Homer for the last eight years. He was a member of the Homer Methodist Church. He graduated from Moravia High School in 1945 and attended Alfred University for 2 years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jane Weddle Breeds; two daughters, Diane Marie and Sue Ellen; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Breeds of Cortland; his grandfather, Mr. Aaron Breeds of Florida; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Hargett of Locke, N.Y., Mrs. Dora Jones and Mrs. Charlene Hamilton of Homer and Mrs. June Abbey of Pitcher, N.Y.; and two brothers, Gerald of Locke, N.Y. and Lawrence of Truxton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Briggs Bros. Funeral Home, Homer.
