BOSCO, MATTHEW F. of Bay City
Our loving husband, father, and grandfather was called to the caring arms of Our Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the age of 84 years.

He was born December 26, 1926 to the late Felix and Rosalia (Lupo) Bosco in Bay City where graduated from St. Joseph High School Class of 1945.
After honorably serving his country in the U. S. Army during World War II, Matt married the former Jeannine Weber on September 10, 1949.

Matt dedicated over 45 years to the food service industry while operating and co-owning the Bosco Food Service.
He retired in 1992 and has enjoyed wintering in Florida with his many friends. His happiest moments were spent with family vacationing especially in Italy.

Matt was a member of Holy Trinity Church, its Ushers Club, the Grade School Booster Club, B.P.O.E. Lodge # 88, and the Knights of Columbus Council 414. As a loving family man, he enjoyed boating and teaching his children and grandchildren how to water ski. The greatest thing he taught us was to love one another and stay close as a family. He has enjoyed golfing with friends, boating, and snow skiing. He loved all animals, especially his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannine and his four children: Christine (Daniel) Nutt, Gail (Mark) Bosco-Odney, Michael (Lori) Bosco, Julie (Rick) Ricard; 12 grandchildren: Alisa, Brian (Carrie), Gina, Khristina, Morgan, Matthew, Marci, Jordan, Jeremy, Evan, Dana, Kylie; four great-grandchildren: Marcus, Reichen, Kailee, Carter; his brother: Frederick Bosco; and his sister: Louise Pilon; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Bosco; and his sister, Rosalie Pica.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00 am in Holy Trinity Church. Matthew will lie in state in church Tuesday after 10:00 am. Rev. George Serour will preside and entombment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum with military rites under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Memorial contributions may be designated to The Wings of Mercy or Camp Fish Tales. The K of C Council 414 will present the Resolution of Condolences and Bible Presentation Monday at 6:45 pm followed by the Vigil Prayer Service at the Trahan Chapel. Visiting hours with the family will be Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 5:30 until 8:00 at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. Online condolences: www.trahanfc.com
