Yetta Jacobs, 93, formerly of Brentwood Ave., Ellwood City, died on Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Passavant Center in Zelienople.

Born Sept. 9, 1917, in Martin Ferry, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Friend and Edna Barker Baker.

She was married on Dec. 24, 1935, to the late Joseph Jacobs who passed away on Jan. 1, 1992.

Yetta was a loyal member of Lillyville Church of God. She had perfect attendance for 27 years. She was active in the WCSC, Mary Rugh Sewing Circle, the Quilting Group, and the Senior Bible Class at Lillyville. She also enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include three daughters, Edna (Ken) Scheidemantle of Harmony, Shelby (Gary) Hall of Ellwood City, Sonja (Mark) Boots of Ellwood City; seven sons, Paul (Nancy) Jacobs of Ellwood City, Wayne (Pat) Jacobs of New Castle, Larry (Barb) Jacobs of Ellwood City, David (Joyce) Jacobs of Ellwood City, Keith (Docia) Jacobs of Ellwood City, Jay (Terry) Jacobs of Harlansburg, Mark (Anita) Jacobs of Ellwood City; two sisters, Dolores Ecktine of Pittsburgh, and Phylis Erdner of Maryland; one stepbrother, James English of Evans City; 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Sgt. Dennis Jacobs, in 1996, and Jeffrey Jacobs, in 1973; five brothers, Earl, Walter, Russell, Samuel, and Lawrence Baker; a stepbrother, Harold English; one sister, Waneda Lutz; one grandson, two great-grandsons, and one great-great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, Ellwood City, and Friday, March 18, 2011, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Lillyville Church of God with Pastor Dennis Arndt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lillyville Church of God Cemetery.
