Mrs. Marietta M. Cauger

Funeral services were held at the Mann funeral home Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Marietta M. Cauger, a native of this city and sister of Mrs. John Gewe, who died at midnight Wednesday at her home in Oakland, California. Her death was caused by a heart attack. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery. Rev. Homer Young officiated. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Cauger, the former Marietta Brown, was born in Nashville, the daughter of E.A. and Harriet C. Brown, on Jan. 23, 1880. She was married to Garfield Cauger. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Cauger had made her home with her sister Mrs. Clara Wilcox in Oakland, California.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Marion J. Cauger of Chicago, Edward Cauger of Steubenville, Ohio and Margaret, Mrs. Francis Bentley of Perry Ohio; nine grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. Clara Wilcox of Oakland California, Mrs. Pearl Gillette of Centralia (IL), and Mrs. Margaret Gewe of this city; and one brother, Roland Brown of McKinney, Texas; two daughters-in law and one son-in-law.
Pallbearers were: Lloyd Setzkorn, Edw. M. Lorenz, Homer F. Hasemeier, Claude Garner, M.S. Dudley, and P.E. Green.
