William F. "Goober" Dodd, 7, Goodman died at 12:30 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a long illness.

Mr. Dodd was born August 7, 1924, in Aurora and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1943 and served in the United States Navy from September 1942 to June 1943. He worked at Rockedyne in Neosho for 12 years and then owned and operated Goober's Snackette and Miniature Golf for 30 years. He then owned and operated Neosho Plumbing Repair until this retirement in 1995. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, The American Legion and VFW.

He married Marie Brasiola on October 12, 1952, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Anthony (Tony) W. Dodd, Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Alan M. Dodd, Summerville, South Carolina, three daughters, Anita Dodd, Ava Rosita Foster, Neosho, and Susan McNeely, Noel, one brother, George P. Dodd, Sr., Hazelwood, and six grandsons: Jonathan Foster, Zachary Alan McNeely, Quinton Tyler McNeely, Benjamin Thomas Dodd and Logan William Dodd.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Judith M. Henderson, officiating. Burial will be in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
