---Glen Dye, 75, of La Plata died Thurs. night at 11:40 in Kirksville hospital where he had been a patient since Monday afternoon, September 30, after falling from a ladder at his home.
---Born May 5, 1893, east of Kirksville in Adair Co., he was the son of Warren West and Jane (Hamilton) Dye. On July 29, 1914, in Kirksville he married June Leavitt who survives.
---Also sorrowing are 2 sons, Wilfred Dye, of Iowa Falls, Ia., and Garnett Dye of K.C., Ka; 1 dau., Mrs. Darrell (Edna Pauline) Lee of East Moline, Ill., 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Lee Dye of Wucipa, Ca., and 1 sister, Mrs. Frank Costoguta of San Francisco, Ca.
---He was preceded in death by 1 brother.
---Mr. Dye was a retired Santa Fe Railroad employee and had spent most of his life in La Plata. He was a member of the La Plata United M.C., where funeral services were held Sun. afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. Clare Nelson, Pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery, under the direction of Christie Funeral Chapel in La Plata.
---Bearers were Sam Hendren(sp?), Otis Bro..(?), Charles McClanahan, Joe Evans, Don Mason, and Ray Long.
