Arthur C. Ferge
Arthur C. Ferge, 87, of 7 W. Rockwell, Elkhorn, died Monday at Lakeland Nursing Home, Elkhorn, where he had lived since November 1976.
Born in Watertown Feb. 17, 1891, he had lived in Elkhorn since 1920 and was married to Rispah Wales June 2, 1928, in Woodstock, Ill. His wife died in 1972.
Mr. Ferge had been employed in the sheet metal shop of Elkhorn Hardware Co. for more than 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of World War I Barracks 3241 and American Legion.
He was a member of Elkhorn Masonic Lodge 77, Bethel Chapter 111 Order of Eastern Star, Valley of Madison Scottish Rites Bodies, R.A.M. Chapter 17, Senior Citizens and AARP.
Surviving are three sisters and a brother, Hugo, Meta Norton, and Della Renner, all of Elkhorn and Martha Mules, Whitewater.
Services are at 1:30 p. m. Thursday at Derksen Funeral Home, with military graveside service and burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Tibbets.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where World War I Barracks memorial services are at 3:30 p. m. and Masonic rites at 8 p. m.
Memorials may be made to the Masonic Diagnostic Center.
