GLENDALE, Ariz. - Beulah James, 96, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died Aug. 11, 2002, at the Westview Health Center in Sun City, Ariz. She had resided in Arizona for the past 22 years.

A memorial service was held on Aug. 16, 2002, at the Stone Creek Church in Phoenix, Ariz.

Interment will be at the Reed Community Cemetery at Nora Springs, Iowa, at a later date. She was cremated.

She is survived by a sister, Maxine Hanson, of Sylmar, Calif.; one daughter, Doreen (LaVerne) Harcey; one daughter-in-law, Darlene (Galyn) James; seven grandchildren, Mark, Kevin and Todd Harcey, all of Arizona; Gary and Wade James, of Mason City, Iowa, Cyndi Dodd, of Mason City, Iowa, and Judy Ackerman, of Rock Falls, Iowa; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Beulah James Memorial Fund , 4722 W. Villa Rita Drive, Glendale, Ariz. 85308.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; two sons, Galyn and Elvin (Al) ; daughter-in-law, Arlis; and several brothers and sisters.

She will be greatly missed.
