Acosta, 19, of Canyon Country, Calif., died March 19 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was allegedly shot with small arms fire by an individual from a military security group. The incident is under investigation. He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 2nd Stryker Calvary Regiment, Vilseck, Germany. Beloved son of Dante and Carolyn Acosta, Adored brother of Alexandra and Doran Acosta. Cherished grandson of John and Lois Church and Clidine Roper. Fond nephew and cousin.
