Rev. Charles Arnold attended schools in New York City and then studied for the priesthood at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Worthington, Ohio. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York, on May 29, 1920.

Coming to Buffalo, he was appointed Assistant pastor of St. Mary of Sorrows Church in Buffalo. Later he served at St. Joseph Old Cathedral and at St. Gerard Church in Buffalo. On March 1, 1931, he was appointed pastor of St. Cecelia Church in Sheldon, where he died at the age of 49. He had been ill for some time and died an hour after celebrating Mass.

Survived by sisters, Sister Estella, Sister Lawrence, and Theresa.
