Domingo Antonio Ignacio Carrillo y Lugo was the son of sargento José Raymundo Carrillo y Pasos (1749-1809) and María Tomasa Ignacia Lugo y Martínez (1764-1816). He was baptized in the San Diego Presidio Chapel on August 4, 1791 (SD Baptism 01490). He married María Concepción Nicanor Pico y Gutiérrez (1797-1871) at the San Diego Presidio Chapel on October 14, 1810 (SD Marriage 01003). Domingo died a violent death ("un muerte violenta") at Santa Bárbara, Alta California, México, on an unspecified date in March 1837. Although his name appears on the plaque inside the Presidio Chapel he was actually buried in the mission cemetery ("cementerio de esta misión [no date] de Marzo de 1837"; BP Death 00349).
