ANDERSON — Dorothy (Morrison) Blevins Dicus Thomas, 94, of Anderson passed into the Lord’s arms surrounded by her loved ones on May 29, 2015, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus. The heavens are pinker this morning. She was known as the Pink Lady of Anderson, Mimi and Babe to her longtime friends.
She was born in Anderson on Dec. 4, 1920 to Dr. John and Eunice (Drennen) Morrison. She was a graduate of Anderson High School in 1938 and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Anderson College.
She began her clothing store in her home in 1954, and it developed into one of Anderson and Indiana’s favorite go-to places, The Dorothy Blevins Shoppe and Tea Cart. She did fabulous style shows across the state and raised money for fundraisers and charities. She, her daughter Joy and staff presented the very popular Indiana State Fair Style Show.

She was the subject of an article in the national magazine Women’s Wear Daily. She received the Anderson University Heritage Award.
She loved her family time together at any time and especially gatherings at the summer home on the banks of the Meramec River in Missouri. She loved all sports and fun.

Blevins Rodgers; and a great-granddaughter, Savanna Lyn Stock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Park Place Church of God, with Rev. Don Collins and Dr. David Markle officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
