In about 1887, James married Irene Boyd, who was born June 2, 1866 in Kentucky, daughter of Linn Boyd and Mary Dallas Curd. Abbott, age 39, a farmer, born February 1861 in Tennessee; and his wife, Irene, age 33, born June 1866 in Tennessee.
