He died at home at 12:30 a.m. Thursday at the age of 69 years, 0 months, 13 days. He was a member of the Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority for 14 years. He was a former city firefighter, was founder and owner of Sedco Manufacturing Company, South Williamsport, and was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. A member of the Navy Seabees during World War II, he was a member of Leroy O. Buck Post 7863, Veterans of Foreign Wars, DuBoistown. He was a member of Church of Ascension. A former officer of the Knights of Columbus, Council 366. He was also a fourth degree member of Father Rechsteiner General Assembly. He also was a former vice president of the Wheel Club, and was a member of the Oaks Club, Republican League, Young Men's Republican Club, Young Men's Democratic Club, Keystone League, Newberry Independent Club and Williamsport Elks Lodge 970. Mr. Ohnmeiss was a sponsor of West End Babe Ruth and American Legions Baseball for the last 16 years. He and his wife, the former Elizabeth A. Skowronski, observed their 45th wedding anniversary last November 7th. He was a son of Robert L. Ohnmeiss and Margaret (Murnane) Ohnmeiss. Surviving, besides his wife, are a son and a daughter, Dennis C. and Miss Sharon A. Ohnmeiss, both of this city; two brothers, Paul F., of Baltimore Maryland, and Joseph A., of Staten Island, New York, and three sisters, Mrs. Marguerite T. Norris, of this city, Mrs. Mary Ellen Coull, of Norfolk, Virginia., and Mrs. Lucille Hudson, of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The funeral was held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
