---Hazel Aldena Gasaway, 90, of Chillicothe, Ill., formerly of La Plata, died Wednesday (May 28, 1986) in Parkhill Skilled Nursing Facility in Chillicothe, Ill.
---The daughter of Robert and Clara Simmons Thomas, she was born Nov. 20, 1895 in La Plata. On Oct. 19, 1919 in La Plata, she was married to John Gasaway who preceded her in death in 1961. Also preceding her in death are one daughter and two brothers.
---Surviving are one daughter, Mary Brown of Chillicothe, Ill.; one grandson; three great-grandchildren and one niece, Irene Story.
---Mrs. Gasaway was a member of the First Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Ill.
---Funeral services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon (May 31, 1986) in the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata. The Rev. Tim McClain, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, La Plata conducted the services. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
