Martha Yates Blake was my Great Great Grandmother. She married William H. Blake a teacher in Lyon County KY. They had 4 children.( Nancy, Mollie, Walter & Ury) Mollie is my Great Grandmother.

He disappeared in the early 1870's. Leaving her with the children.
Update: According to William Blake Pension records he died 1882 i Montgomery County Tennessee of Typhoid Fever.
She tried to collect his Civil War pension and someone else in Tennessee was collecting it. Grace Lafferty Blake. She gathered all the proof she needed for the government to prove she was never divorced or remarried. She began collecting his pension.

I found that Grace Lafferty remarried in 1885 in TN.
