My grandfather was born in Indiana and lived most of his life in Mooresville. In WWI, he served in the army with the 42nd division aka the Rainbow Division. Schuyler was lucky enough to come home from the war, but was one of those men who never seemed to be able to leave the war and its nightmares behind him. I'm Edith Goulart - one of Schuyler's grandaughters who never had the chance to get to know him as he died in 1958, the same year I was born.
