Patrick was buried in the Drennen family plot. Small bricks outline where his body was laid,, but his name was never placed there because he was enslaved. Someday the descendants hope to put his name over the spot where he was buried.
Patrick Drennen's stone belongs in the John Drennen Family Plot at Fairview Cemetery in one of the unmarked graves but, permission was not yet allowed because he was a Drennen Slave nor was he ever given permission to marry his wife Lydia, who was also a slave. They had two children Samuel and Harriet. A memorial stone was put in his grandson's plot at Fairview cemetery next to his beloved wife Lydia Walton Talkington.
