OAKES K. AMES DIES SATURDAY AT LAFAYETTE.
Oakes K. Ames, a resident of Lafayette for the past six years, died March 14 at his home. He was a native of St. Paul, Minn., and was 71 years old.
He was married to Emily Watson at Hudson, Wis., January 31, 1889.
In 1909 he settled on a ranch at Baker, Mont., coming to Dayton to live until 1930 when he moved to Lafayette.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Olson and Lewis of Lafayette and Francis of Los Angeles, Cal.; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
